OpenText AppEnhancer AppXtender Google Chrome Issue Index Text Fields Disappearing WX-17391

Chromium and the Chrome browser have an update, Version 114.0.5735.91, which is causing a compatibility problem with AppXtender 16.3, 16.6 and  20.3.
AppXtender and AppEnhancer versions 20.4 and above are unaffected as far as we can test and are aware.

Hotfix WX-17391 resolves this issue and will likely be rolled into an upcoming patch. See the attached files for your AppXtender version in the Attachments Tab on this Knowledgebase Article.

Google released Chromium 114.xxx that introduces a new experimental feature called Popover API which defines a new HTML attribute popover. This popover keyword is used in AngularJS version we use in AX 16.6 and earlier. Version 20.4 and later is not affected due to keyword change to uib-popover.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

To apply this hotfix for ApplicationXtender WebServices Server, follow these steps:
  1. Browse to the folder where the files reside, default is "C:\inetpub\wwwroot\AppXtender\App\Views\Index".
  2. Backup the existing files:
    boolean-index.html
    currency-index.html
    custom-index.html
    date-index.html
    formatted-text-index.html
    integer-index.html
    number-index.html
    text-index.html
    time-index.html
    timestamp-index.html
  3. Copy the files provided in this hotfix to the folder where the original files were located.
  4. Clear client browser cache.
  5. Test
