Document Manager Crashes AX 7.1 Patch 8

Each time a scanner is selected in Document Manager the client crashes with the following error.  "Full-Featured Client has stopped working".

This is a known bug in AX 7.1 Patch 8. To fix temporarily revert back to patch 6.
